A Great Place to Stay in Kraków – Metropolitan Boutique Hotel Review

We stayed at the Metropolitan Boutique Hotel during our Kraków trip and honestly couldn’t have picked a better base. The location was spot on – really central, with most of the places we wanted to visit around a 20-minute walk away.

You can get the train from the airport into the city (I think it was the SKA1 line, with about seven stops to Kraków Główny) and then walk the rest of the way to the hotel. We decided to book a transfer instead, which worked out at around £15–£20 each way. We pre-booked it through Booking.com and it was really straightforward.

When we arrived, the staff were lovely and made us feel welcome straight away. Check-in was quick and easy, and they also took the time to point out a few useful spots and local highlights on a map for us. We stayed in a Classic Double room on the first floor and were really impressed – it was spacious, modern, spotless and very quiet. Our room looked out onto the hotel’s central courtyard, which was a nice little bonus.

The hotel is just off a main road, but we didn’t hear any traffic at all. Being in a room facing the inside of the hotel definitely helped with that.

We’ve already shared a separate post about the bars and restaurants we visited in Kraków, but it’s worth mentioning that there’s also a restaurant and bar connected to the hotel. It’s not officially part of the hotel, but you can walk straight through from reception via the courtyard. You can’t charge anything back to your room, but that didn’t really bother us.

Breakfast was served in the same restaurant and was really good overall. There was a decent selection of hot and cold buffet options, plus you could order an omelette with your choice of fillings. The only slight downside was that service could be a bit slow when it got busy.
